Tesla’s hidden features will make your driving experience more enjoyable. You have to see these 20 Tesla Hidden Features to believe them!
Live Sentry Mode
Eight cameras are included with your Tesla. Teslas are known for their security features that use four cameras to record any activity in your car while parked or in sentry mode. Some people need to realize that the Tesla app on Android and iPhone allows you to access these four cameras live. You can remotely access the cameras of your Tesla, blare the horn, and flash the lights in the Live Sentry mode. Another cool feature of your Tesla is that you can use its exterior speaker to speak from anywhere! You can use premium connectivity or live sentry mode as long as they are enabled. Too cool!
Get Premium Connectivity for Free
The connectivity of all Tesla cars is a critical element of the driving experience. It allows access to data-driven features such as streaming media and music, traffic visualization, and more. Standard connectivity is included in every Tesla, giving you access to basic navigation features. You can get more features, such as Live Traffic Visualization and Sentry Mode, which allows you to view live cameras, Satellite-View maps, Video Streaming (including Caraoke), Music Streaming (including Internet Browsing), and Satellite-View Maps by subscribing to Premium Connectivity for $9.99 a month or $99 yearly. Most Tesla owners need to know they can access most of these features for free. Connecting your Tesla via WiFi to the Hotspot on your smartphone is how you do it. You can use this to access Video Streaming and Karaoke as well as Music Streaming and Internet Browsing. Core maps & navigation features such as Trip Planner and traffic-based routing are also available. Using your mobile Hotspot is best if you have an unlimited plan.
You can now stream games and other services
You can access streaming services like Netflix, Spotify, and TikTok with Premium Connectivity. You can add more streaming services to your Tesla by using A Better Theater on your Tesla’s web browser. This website allows you to streaming service providers like HBO Max and ESPN. You can also find Apple Music, Amazon Music, and Paramount+. You can play Tetris, among other games. You can bookmark this website to make it the first thing you see when you open your internet browser. This makes it easy for you to begin streaming immediately.
Unlock Charge Port
The charging cable can get stuck in the Tesla charge port. We hope this never happens. You won’t be allowed to unlock the charging port electronically if this occurs at home or at a Tesla Supercharger. It can be frustrating, as it can be challenging to release the cable manually. A hidden latch on the left upper side of the trunk can be used to release the line. Once you find it, please tug at it to manually remove the charging cable. See this in the Video
Reduce Autopilot Speed Fast
You can quickly lower your speed if traveling over the speed limit while on autopilot. Tap the speed icon instead of using the scroll wheel to change the speed. In an emergency, or to avoid traffic violations, you can safely and quickly lower your rate by tapping the speed limit icon.
Send Address to Tesla
Tesla’s Navigation System makes finding an address simple, navigating there quickly and telling your Tesla what you want to do. But there are other ways of telling your Tesla where to go. You can wirelessly send an address from your mobile phone to your Tesla to help you navigate. This can be done with lessons you received via e-mail, text message, or searching for them online. This can be done by long-pressing the address, then selecting to share it with the Tesla app. The Tesla app will send the address to your Tesla directly, and begin navigating there. The Tesla app must be installed, Bluetooth enabled, and your Tesla driver profile should be connected.
Tesla Widget
Add the Tesla Widget to your home screen on your mobile phone in addition to using the Tesla App. The Tesla Widget can be added to the home page or any other page on iPhone by holding down a blank space on the screen and selecting the + button in the upper left corner. Next, search for the Tesla Widget and select the small or medium size. You can now access your iPhone’s four or five quick controls without opening the app. This turns your phone into a digital car key. The widget also shows your battery level, the car’s current location, and the sentry mode status. This is the best feature on this list.
Turn off Climate
The update V11 in 2021 made it harder to use the Tesla. Tesla has released updates to make it easier to use. However, many of these updates need to highlight the new features. One of the features that can be used to turn off your climate quickly is the “quick-off” feature. To do this, tap on the power button on the climate screen. This must be challenging to do when driving. Holding down the climate button will allow you to turn the climate off. This is much easier than it used to be!
Quick Light Setting
You can now access your foglight and headlight settings much more quickly. You can now access your lighting settings without navigating through menus or options.
Dismiss Autopilot Prompt
Tesla drivers are not fans of the autopilot prompts, which tell them to hold the steering wheel lightly to demonstrate that they’re paying attention. We will never be rid of this safety feature. However, there are ways to make it easier. Holding the steering wheel while driving with a slight turn force can be scary. With enough pressure, the car can be steered left or right. This can also be used to disengage the autopilot. You can press or rotate the scroll wheel instead of holding the steering. This is safer for your hands and arm on long drives.
